1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using CollectPay, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. CollectPay is developed and operated by Emerging Apps Private Limited, a company registered in Tamil Nadu, India. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the app.
2. Account Registration
To use CollectPay, you must register an account using your mobile phone number. Registration is completed via OTP (One-Time Password) verification. Each phone number may only be associated with one CollectPay account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.
3. Service Description
CollectPay provides the following services:
- Credit and debit tracking — record and manage financial transactions with your customers
- Interest calculation — automatic interest computation at configurable rates and frequencies
- EMI tracking — set up and track equated monthly installments with partial payment support
- WhatsApp reminders — send payment reminders to customers via WhatsApp
- SMS notifications — send transaction alerts and reminders via SMS
- Multiple books — manage separate ledgers for different businesses within one account
4. Coin System
CollectPay uses a virtual currency called "Coins" to facilitate the sending of WhatsApp and SMS reminders. Please note the following:
- Coins are a non-refundable virtual currency purchased within the app
- Coins have no expiry date and remain in your account until used
- Coins have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for real currency
- Coins cannot be transferred between accounts
- Each reminder sent consumes a specified number of coins
5. User Responsibilities
As a user of CollectPay, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information during registration and use
- Use the app only for lawful purposes related to credit and debit management
- Not misuse the reminder system to harass or spam any individual
- Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
- Not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the service
6. Prohibited Uses
You may not use CollectPay for any of the following:
- Any illegal activity or in furtherance of illegal purposes
- Harassment, threats, or intimidation of any person
- Sending unsolicited bulk messages or spam
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the app
- Attempting to circumvent security measures or access restrictions
- Misrepresenting your identity or impersonating another person
7. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in CollectPay, including but not limited to the software, design, logos, trademarks, and content, are owned by Emerging Apps Private Limited. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the app without our prior written consent.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
CollectPay is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- The results obtained from using the service will be accurate or reliable
- Any payment reminders sent through the app will result in actual payment recovery
CollectPay is a tracking and reminder tool. We do not guarantee the recovery of any debts or payments.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Emerging Apps Private Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of CollectPay, regardless of the theory of liability.
10. Refund Policy
Coins purchased within CollectPay are non-refundable once the purchase is completed. Exceptions may be made in the following circumstances:
- Duplicate charges — if you are charged more than once for the same purchase due to a technical error
- Technical failures — if coins are not credited to your account despite a successful payment
To request a refund for the above reasons, please contact us at support@collectpay.app with your transaction details within 7 days of the purchase.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Tamil Nadu, India.
12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify you through the app. Your continued use of CollectPay after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
